New Medicine Service (NMS)

The New Medicine Service (NMS) at Moin's Chemist & Well-Being Centre is an NHS Advanced Service designed to support patients who have been newly prescribed a medicine for a long-term condition. What is the New Medicine Service (NMS)?

The NMS is a free service provided by community pharmacies like Moin's Chemist. It is aimed at helping patients who are starting a new medication for certain long-term conditions. The service involves consultations with a pharmacist to ensure the patient is taking their medication correctly and to address any issues or side effects.

  • This can be done in person or over the phone.

Follow-Up Consultation (7-14 Days Later):

  • The pharmacist will check how you are getting on with the medication, address any concerns, and provide further advice if needed.
