Who are we looking for?

Take a moment to read through the following information to get a good understanding of who we are looking for when recruiting for our pre-reg programme.

Each candidate will be assessed on the extent to which they match each of the selection criteria:

Willingness to learn:

  • able to identify and prioritize your own learning and development needs

  • develop personal development plans using SMART learning objectives

  • demonstrate knowledge of CPD through the interview process

Personal Effectiveness:

  • ability to manage time effectively

  • carry out all tasks effectively

Communication:

  • able to demonstrate verbal communication through credible experience

  • able to demonstrate written communication through credible experience

  • experience of communicating with difficult people or people during difficult situations

  • ability to empathize with customers and to adapt to each individual situation

Working with people:

  • work effectively within the team environment to achieve business objectives

Motivation:

  • able to motivate oneself to achieve own goals/objectives

  • demonstrate skills to motivate others

Adaptability:

  • able to adapt to new procedures, and/or new environments

Specific knowledge:

  • Community Pharmacy experience (essential)

  • Retail or Customer Care experience (essential)

  • Knowledge of new pharmacy contract (essential)

  • Knowledge of CPD (essential)

  • Leadership or Management experience (desirable)
